Assassin July "28"

Post by sudokuEd »

Seems like this one needs T&E at the end unless I'm missing something.

Thanks Ruud for the SuMoCue program. I had mistakenly downloaded the Sud one (which must be for a variant of Killers??). It's very easy to use. Also saves me doing those big sums and lets me backtrack when I make a silly mistake.

You must have missed something. This is not a RUUDICULOUS killer.

Yeah. There are a few people who like that variant.

Glad you like it. I'm trying to keep this program simple.

Still can't find what I'm missing. Any hints? Is it one of those fish moves from that variant?

Take a closer look at the 18[4] cage in N6 that tries to look like its neighbour.

oh yeah - now I see it! Thanks.

So now we know who the big presents are for - identical twins....

Perhaps they are part of the assassins guild? Along with elbows, crosses, E, backward E, non-symmetrical, music that stops.......a whole secret world unfolding each week. All we need now is someone who knows all about obscure ninja/kanji incantations - perhaps they would understand more?

Keep up the good work!

Having reached a stage similar to that shown by SudokuEd I realised that in the 18(3) cage in N6 R5C9 must be 9 since R4C9 must be an odd number and R6C9 an even number.

Sorry for the late comment on this puzzle. I only found the Weekly Assassins at the beginning of this month and am gradually working my way through them.

I like the odd+even=odd approach Andrew. Have never realized that before. Another way to ditch the combo chart!

Thanks.
