What is the secret to have an avtar in this forum? Which formats are supported? I have tried .BMP .JPG and .PNG without success.
Please help :(

FAQ wrote: It is up to the board administrator to enable avatars and they have a choice over the way in which avatars can be made available. If you are unable to use avatars then this is the decision of the board admin and you should ask them their reasons (we're sure they'll be good!)
I think Ruud disabled the avatars.

I read the FAQ before posting. Both "FirstOfNine" and "enxio27" have avatars.

The bottom block of the profile page allows for link to off-site avatar, with dimension & k restrictions. Gabrielle's appears to be jpeg.

When I first joined, you could see every members' public info, but that seems to have been removed along the way [though you can get the "name" list by searching in mailbox], although still available on that other site.

You're right it works. I should have tried myself before. Image

As Sarah said, make sure the avatar is within the limits of 80x80 pixels & 6Kb.

This is the one I'm trying to put up as an avatar:

Image

It is 29x29 pixels and 310 bytes, but does not work as an avatar. Can be that the URL is too long or that the format is wrong. I'll try other formats. Thanks for the help and info.

Marlie,

Thanks for the info. Somehow I did not see your post earlier.
Both of us having the same avatar is probably not a good idea, but if you want, please feel free to keep it (I feel honoured). This graphic is one of many images I personally have designed for "The Universal Sudoku Player".

Greetings,

Nice Picture! :queen:

Vikings aren't easily scared. 8-)
Ever read the story about "Asterix and the Normans"? Until the Norsemen met Asterix and Obelix they did not have a word for fear and believed that, if they could learn it, they would be able to fly (since, naturally, fear gives you wings).
