Rated Hard, i.e. requiring Locked Candidates, Naked+Hidden Subsets and X-Wings.
You are of course allowed to used more advanced techniques.

Or use easier techniques: X-Wing is not required |

Just curious, how does one get this puzzle into Ruud's Clueless Helper?
Thanks,

this is harder than Ruud's very hards | I did not need any locked sets to solve this one, only locked candidates: http://www.sudocue.net/guide.php#LockedCandidates
Also known as Block/Block interaction (one of the most basic solving techniques). Finding one X-Wing was the most advanced technique I used.
Perhaps Ruud considers X-Wing as very hard (Samurai 70 for last Tuesday was rated Very Hard and had an X-Wing). I must admit that I found this Samrau to be very easy. I solved it in 8 minutes, but other Samurais rated Tough, solved by other people in 5 minues have taken me more than an hour, Just couldn't spot a naked pair
My day's form seems to have a big influence over my speed and ability to solve Sudokus. Some days almost everything goes easy, other days spoting a naked pair in two adjacent cells is problematic. |
